Wendy and Kirk

Wendy and Kirk are tattoo artists at Tattoo Alley in Akron, Ohio.

They are both huge Elvis fans and on the 20th anniversary of Elvis' death they tattooed Elvis' favorite food...peanut butter and banana sandwiches...on each other's stomachs.

Kirk has a selection of very creative tattoos. Here's a large cockroach he got at the 1997 convention in Richmond. You can also see part of his Frankenstein piece done at the 1996 convention by Steve of Electric Dragonland Tattoo Studio in Hopkins, Minnesota.

Here's another picture of Kirk's cockroach.

You will see more pictures of Wendy and Kirk in other sections of this home page about the Richmond Tattoo Arts Festival. For other pictures of Wendy's ink, and an interview with Wendy, see the February, 1998, issue of Tattoo.

Kirk didn't disappoint us at the 1998 Richmond Convention...he had acquired new ink...in his traditional off-the-wall fashion with topics that might escape the imagination of many people. Shown below is some work he recently got on his hand."

And here's a "Mr. Hankie rose" on Kirk's foot....others might call it crap, but Kirk's imagination runs strong....

Kirk is getting a large new piece done on his ribs and chest. You can see the outline work below. When done, he'll have a praying mantis attacking a large building. How'd the needle feel on those ribs, Kirk?

Here's a new tattoo on Wendy's neck...a tribute to MOM.
