Mike is a Grateful Dead follower, as you might guess from the Jerry Garcia portrait on his leg below. The portrait was done by Jeff Carr of Inkers Dream Wizard Tattoo Studio, Rockville, Maryland, on the first anniversary of Jerry's death. The original design is from Rolling Stone magazine.

Mike's first tattoo was a moonface on his left arm...a gift from his roommates on his 21st birthday. Rick, of Rick's Tattoo Studio in Arlington, Virginia, did the inkwork...back when he was still working out of his house.

Mike thinks his next ink will be a chain of dancing children around his ankle.
