CONTESTS

Each day of the tattoo convention, one tattoo that was done that day is selected as the Tattoo of the Day. The work shown below won on Saturday at the 1997 convention. It was done by Mike Siderio of Rebel Image Tattoo Studio in Rio Grande, New Jersey.

This Tattoo of the Day is on Jason Painter, whose dad, Tom Painter, is owner of Body Art Tattoos in Berryville, Virginia.

Other contests run throughout the convention. These contests are:

Best black/white flash
Best color flash
Best cover-up tattoo
Best back piece
Best large (over 6" x 10") tattoo
Best sleeve
Best Celtic/Tribal tattoo
Best small (under 6" x 10") tattoo
Most realistic tattoo
Best black and grey tattoo
Best convention booth

This is Conrad, showing a second place trophy he won in the large tattoo contest at the 1997 convention for the piece on his side. The woman on the dolphin was done by Julie Moon. The dolphin was done by Trevor Marshall.
