AFI

Afi has nice ink on both upper arms. He got the skull below when he was 18. Miss Mick, at Dragon Moon Tattoo Studio in Glen Burnie, Maryland was the artist. She took a lot of time and care to help him pick just the right design. "She's the best lady I ever met in my life," he said appreciatively. Afi added the color shading to the skullage later at a tattoo studio in Venice Beach, California. He's thinking of adding a shrunken head to the lower part of this piece...partly to continue the skull theme and partly to include some small scars on his arm that will give dimension to parts of the inkwork.

Afi's arm band was done by Art in his home studio in Maryland. Afi described to Art what he had in mind, Art drew a small design that Afi liked, then free-handed the bulk of the design once he started the needle work. The arm band signifies to Afi the notion of change as well as magic and power.
